NFL kicker Brandon McManus sued, accused of sexual assault on 2023 Jaguars flight: report

According to ESPN’s report on Monday, two women have filed a lawsuit against NFL kicker Brandon McManus and the Jacksonville Jaguars, alleging that the veteran player sexually assaulted them during a team trip to London last season.

Court documents filed in Duval County Circuit Civil Court claim that McManus “grinded” on the women during the flight, and assert that the team failed to adequately supervise McManus and ensure a safe environment for flight staff.

McManus, who played for the Jaguars during the 2023 NFL season and later signed with the Washington Commanders, is at the center of the allegations.

In response to the lawsuit, a spokesperson for the Commanders stated to USA TODAY Sports, “We take allegations of this nature very seriously and are investigating the matter. We have been in contact with the League Office and Brandon’s representation, and will refrain from further comment at this time.”

The court documents, obtained by ESPN, identify the women as Jane Doe I and Jane Doe II. They were reportedly flight attendants on the Jaguars’ flight to London on September 28, 2023, ahead of the game against the Atlanta Falcons at Wembley Stadium. The Jaguars have not issued a statement regarding the lawsuit.

McManus, who previously played nine seasons with the Denver Broncos, including winning a Super Bowl 50 title, signed a one-year, $3.6 million contract with the Commanders in March.
